Constitution:
The main objectives of the Wealth and Welfare Club shall be:
1. To develop students’ interest and understanding of economics and related issues.
2. To provide students with opportunities to apply economic concepts to real-life situations.
3. To organise seminars, discussions, workshops, presentations, quizzes and other academic activities.
4. To promote awareness of economic, social and welfare issues.
5. To encourage teamwork, leadership, communication and organisational skills among students.

Objectives of the “Wealth and Welfare Club”
1. To Promote Interest in Economics and Related Subjects Among Students
The club aims to create greater awareness and interest in economics by encouraging students to actively participate in academic discussions and activities. It helps students understand the importance of economics in daily life and in society.
2. To Encourage Academic Discussions, Seminars, Workshops, and Group Activities
The club seeks to organize seminars, workshops, debates, quizzes, and group discussions on various economic topics. These activities provide students with opportunities to exchange ideas, improve knowledge, and learn beyond the classroom.
3. To Develop Leadership, Communication, and Organizational Skills
Through participation in club activities and holding responsibilities in the executive body, students can develop leadership qualities, communication abilities, teamwork, and event management skills that will benefit them in their future careers.
4. To Create Awareness About Current Economic Issues and Developments
The club aims to keep students informed about national and global economic issues such as inflation, unemployment, poverty, economic policies, and sustainable development. This helps students connect theoretical knowledge with real-life situations.
5. To Provide Opportunities for Participation in Co-curricular and Extension Activities
The club encourages students to take part in various co-curricular activities such as competitions, awareness programmes, community outreach activities, and educational events that contribute to their overall development.
6. To Encourage Research, Critical Thinking, and Analytical Skills
The club motivates students to engage in research-based activities, project work, paper presentations, and surveys. These activities help students improve their analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
7. To Foster Teamwork, Discipline, and Cooperation Among Members
By working together in organizing programmes and events, students learn the importance of discipline, unity, mutual respect, and cooperation, which are essential qualities in both academic and professional life.
8. To Organize Field Trips, Educational Tours, and Interaction Programmes
The club plans to arrange educational visits, field trips, and interaction programmes with institutions and experts to provide practical exposure and firsthand learning experiences to students.

The club aims to support the holistic development of students by improving their confidence, public speaking, academic performance, and social interaction skills.
10. To Work for the Welfare and Holistic Development of Students
The club seeks to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and personally while contributing positively to the department and society.
The “Wealth and Welfare Club” aims to promote financial awareness, personal development and social responsibility among its members. By encouraging savings, entrepreneurship, teamwork and community service, the Club helps the students to improve their well-being. Overall the Club plays an important role in building responsible, financially informed and socially conscious students.
Laws and By-Laws
1. Membership
1. Membership shall be opened to all students of the Department of Economics of the college.
2. Membership shall be mandatory for all the students of the Department.
3. Members shall participate actively in the academic and other activities of the Club.
4. Members shall follow the Constitution and Rules and Regulations of the Club.
2. Office Bearers
The Club shall have the following office bearers:
• President – Head of the Department
• Vice-President – Student
• Secretary- Student
• Assistant Secretary- Student
• Treasurer- Student
• Organising Secretary - Student
• Other members/office bearers may be included as considered necessary by the Club and the Department.
3. Duties of the Office Bearers
A. President
1. The President shall be the head of the Club.
2. The President shall provide overall guidance and supervision to the Club.
3. The President shall preside over meetings of the Club.
B. Vice-President
1. The Vice-President shall assist the President in the functioning of the Club.
2. The Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President.
3. The Vice-President shall assist in coordinating Club activities.
C. Secretary
1. The Secretary shall be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Club.
2. The Secretary shall prepare notices and agendas for meetings.
3. The Secretary shall maintain the minutes and records of meetings.
4. The Secretary shall coordinate Club programmes and activities.
5. The Secretary shall communicate decisions and information to members.
D. Assistant Secretary
1. The Assistant Secretary shall assist the Secretary in carrying out the duties of the Club.
2. The Assistant Secretary shall maintain necessary records and correspondence.
3. The Assistant Secretary shall perform the duties assigned by the President or Secretary.
E. Treasurer
1. The Treasurer shall maintain proper records of the Club's monthly collection and expenditure
2. All financial transactions shall be made with proper approval.
3. The Treasurer shall maintain bills, vouchers and other financial records.
4. The Treasurer shall submit financial statements whenever required.
F. Organising Secretary
1. The Organising Secretary shall assist in planning and organising Club programmes.
2. The Organising Secretary shall coordinate arrangements for seminars, workshops, competitions and other activities.
3. The Organising Secretary shall work in consultation with the Secretary and other office bearers.
4. Meetings
1. The Club shall hold meetings as and when necessary.
2. Regular meetings may be held to discuss academic programmes, activities and other matters concerning the Club.
3. The Secretary shall issue notice of meetings to members.
4. The President shall preside over the meetings.
5. Minutes of every official meeting shall be recorded and maintained.
6. Important decisions shall be taken with the approval of the President and/or the Department.
7. Emergency meetings may be called when necessary.
5. Election Procedures
1. The office bearers of the Club shall be elected/selected in accordance with the decision of the Department and the Club.
2. Elections shall be conducted in a fair, transparent and democratic manner wherever applicable.
3. Only students of Economics shall be eligible to participate in the election.
4. The election shall be supervised by the President or a teacher nominated by the Department.
5. The result of the election shall be recorded in the minutes of the meeting.
6. In case of any vacancy, the Department/Club may appoint or elect a suitable member to fill the vacancy.
6. Discipline and Conduct
1. All members shall maintain discipline and decorum during Club activities.
2. Members shall treat teachers, office bearers and fellow students with respect.
3. Members shall not engage in behaviour that may bring disrepute to the Club or the college.
4. Members shall follow the rules and regulations of the college while participating in Club activities.
7. Financial Management
1. The Club will collect a monthly collection of Rs. 10/- from each member.
2. The funds of the Club shall be used only for approved Club activities.
3. All expenditure shall require proper approval.
4. Proper bills, receipts and vouchers shall be maintained.
5. The Treasurer shall maintain a record of all financial transactions.
6. The financial records shall be made available for verification whenever required by the Department or college authority.
