Learning Management System (LMS) Committee
With the growing importance of digital learning and technology-enabled education, Shillong College has taken significant steps towards integrating digital resources and e-learning into the teaching-learning process. To promote the development and effective utilisation of digital learning resources among teachers and students, the College has established the Learning Management System (LMS) Committee.
The College provides an e-learning platform based on Moodle, accessible through the College’s e-learning portal at https://elearning.shillongcollege.ac.in. The platform serves as an important digital space for facilitating online teaching and learning, content sharing, assessment, communication, and the management of academic resources.
Aim and Objectives
The LMS Committee is constituted to oversee the effective administration, management, and utilisation of the College’s e-learning platform. The Committee plays an important role in encouraging teachers to adopt innovative and technology-enabled teaching practices and in supporting them in the creation, organisation, and delivery of quality e-content.
The Committee provides necessary technical and academic guidance to teachers, promotes the effective use of digital pedagogical tools, and encourages the integration of technology into classroom teaching and learning. It also works towards enhancing the digital learning environment of the College and ensuring the effective utilisation of the LMS by both teachers and students.
